| In the 1998 First Midland Red ordered 64 Mercedes Vario Minibuses (501-564 R501-7CNP, S508-54,955,556-64SWP) with Plaxton bodies. All of the buses officially entered service in Worcester on Sunday 1st August 1998. All except one view show the vehicles being prepared for service in the week leading up to their entry into service. The last view shows the old order – the Mercedes 608D minibus stored after their withdrawal following the introduction of the new vehicles. |
